I’ll be doing the challenge again for 2013! Though 2012 was miserable in this respect, I have hope for this year.
There might be some themes that develop this year: like Books by Journalists and Micro-histories. I have a very extensive to-read and Netflix queue so I’ll just end up picking out whatever I feel like at the time.

You gotta watch Park Chan Wook’s trilogy of revenge movies – Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Old Boy and Lady Vengeance.
Lady Vengeance is one of my favorite movies of all time. Watch and compare it to the other two more male-oriented revenge movies.
Also, i give you major kudos for Guns, Germs and Steel – i keep looking at it taunting me on the bookshelf and it keeps sitting there being all important and visionary.
Oh nice! Yes, Guns Germs and Steel taunts me as well, but i figure this challenge will force me to get through all the non-fiction and historical books I’ve been wanting to read for a while now.
